Icing on the landscape

It's been luuuuurvely mild and still the last few days in the archipelago, only -2 degrees. It appears, the same temperatures as in Southern England?!

By the sea, humidity sticks to trees and shrubs on the shore. We have a specific word to this kind of snow/ice, of course. As to every kind of snow and ice. This is KUURA.

But the pines' reddish bark remains, creating a wonderful contrast. Winter wonderland!

Auriinko nousee, on kaastetta maassaaa...
Laulattaa, on niin kaunista. Laulun sanat eivät ehkä ihan sovi, mutta alitajunnasta kumpuavina sopivat kuitenkin. Meren äärellä kosteus kertyy kimaltaviksi kiteiksi kaikkeen mihin pystyy tarttumaan.

Viime päivät ovat olleet ihanan lauhoja saaristossa – vain -2 astetta – ja tyyni ilma on tehnyt elosta mietoa ja pitänyt vähän huonomminkin eristetyn talon sisätilat tasaisen lämpiminä. Aah.
